Private Yoga Session (group or private) $65 per hour

Reiki Treatments $40 per session

Reiki is a hands-on, natural healing modality using universal energy.
It promotes healing, reduces stress, relaxes and renews, and can provide you with a spiritual space in your mind to open meditation.
As a receiver, you will be fully clothed, lying down on a massage table.
The treatment consists of a series of hand positions on the body held for several minutes.
Sometimes folks group Reiki with massage practices, but Reiki is not massage.

It is believed that Reiki is centuries old, but it was only reintroduced in the early twentieth century to Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui.  Reiki then traveled to Hawaii around 1938 via Mrs. Hawayo Takata who was one of Dr. Usui's most devoted students.  It was Mrs. Takata who further developed Reiki and took it around the world. 

"I became interested in Reiki myself in searching for ways to restore and heal my grandson after he suffered severe head trauma when he was 5 months old.  The injury left him very ill: cerebral palsy, blindness, seizures, and mentally handicapped.  We tried everything: drugs, physical therapy, special diets, and of course prayers, and lots of love. One day, we decided to try Feldenkrais (neuro-muscular re-education) and were lucky enough to find a practitioner who was also a Reiki Master.  Long story, short, my grandson learned to walk, run, interact and come out of himself by working with this wonderful, gifted healer.  I believe strongly these two modalities combined together were the key catalyst that healed him (along with the other combination of therapies he still receives).  I was so inspired, that I ended up studying Reiki and becoming a practitioner in order to give him treatments at home.  Since then I have given hundreds of treatment to others, including myself, and I feel strongly that it enhances my energy as a yoga teacher."
